Perry;

First off, Let me say thanks for Replying to me. Seem I'm becoming the the Contact person as Paul was the closest
and figure he knew you and the bunch in that area didn't get answers. But as I have stated, This has been sent along to the people that will rectify the problem.
I have Received a Letter saying the Mail was received, and I will be hearing from Someone on Tuesday, as they will send someone to check the situation out and monitor
from the Office. So PLEASE leave the Machine on!.. This will assist in the Location of the Cross-Banding signal. It might be good if your able to do some tracking down of
the problem also.. I will inform whoever comes of what information I have here, along with a FULL listing of Sent/Received Email. In the Message I was given a Phone number to call also, So this might be of some help tracking this problem down. I'm sure the Council will be in touch with you on this, But Their affect will ONLY be to the Repeater and Repeater Owner/Trustee(s).. But even at this, the Bylaws Give a stated Coverage, And Right NOW the Machine is WELL beyond that! So This might be of some concern also.

   1. Coverage radius and protection radius figures for the coordination classes are as follows:

Class of Repeater    Coverage Radius    Protection Radius
    SNPR    15 miles    none
Local (not available see C below)    15 miles    25 miles
    District    25 miles    40 miles
    Regional    40 miles    55 miles
    Quadrant    55 miles    70 miles

         1. In all cases, regardless of power output or ERP, the repeater’s transmitter is to be configured so that the transmitter’s physical coverage radius does not exceed the repeater’s coordinated coverage radius.

         2. Remote receivers shall be configured so that their coverage area lies within the coordinated coverage area of the repeater.

         3. Exceeding the coverage radius limits can be cause for revocation of the station’s coordination.

Yes, I am somewhat familiar with these Folks also. But this Could lead to more problems.. Being I guess I'm the One doing the Talking now, and will be the Contactee at this end.
PLEASE Understand, I will NOT Capitulate nor Stop .. It is Not in my Nature to "Give-UP", "Wimp-out" Etc..(Please Ask someone that knows me)  I come from a Long Military Family, and served Myself.. I DON'T back out of Battle. I will pass all the information to Whomever, and if you find the Person(s) responsible, YOU have FULL RIGHTS to ask they NOT use the Repeater. At that point (You'd have to have Proof) the person(s) would be in Violation by just using the Machine! This would also take ANY Burden off your shoulders... I'm forwarding Most of these Mails to some Concerned in this, as I want Everyone to keep up on the Progress. But I'm told this week We should know more and hear more..

I have no information on Mike (KB8ECN) so therefore I cannot
contact him to resolve this issue, as
I stated earlier this cross band link was never authorized or
approved by me and I had no prior
knowledge of this link.

Mike KB8ENC has NOT replied, nor is the E-Mail Address good for him on
QRZ or eHam.. I have passed this letter with the intent of following
up with the
Michigan Repeater Council, and the League.. Malicious Interference is
NOT FUN
AND GAMES! I will keep Everyone posted on any information I receive..
I will be going to the Official Observers Information Page and pass
this along also..
Seems this could have been avoided, But if the Repeater Owner, or
Trustee can't seem
to rectify it, there may be no other course of action!... It also
Appears the Phone Number
Given for Mike is No Longer in Service... Nobody can reach this Ham!
PLEASE HELP!..
I'll be there!...

Subject: Inconsiderate cross band operation from KB8ENC of the W8ECG
repeater on 145.550 MHz simplex

Hello, Perry
Below is a list of amateurs that are so far getting very
irritated with Mike's cross band repeater operation. This list will
continue
to grow do to the popularity of this simplex frequency and it's
extensive
use in Oakland County. Since, I'm the lucky one that has had past
relations
with you guys, I have offered to contact you one last time
regarding this
situation and to politely (Please) ask you to tell Mike KB8ENC to
refrain
his operation of retransmission of your repeater on the simplex
frequency of
145.550MHz and move to another frequency assigned for this type of
operation. His station, which consists of a 13-element beam and, an
unknown
amount of power and height is not being identified with his own
call sign
and everyone that is getting interference is hearing your call
sign. The
coverage area of his signal is being reported as being heard as far
south at
Pontiac presently. This interference situation is not appreciated
and is
being described as malicious interference do to the coverage area
it's
affecting. All emails that I have received from others and yourself
will be
forwarded to the addresses list below. This is my last attempt to
try to
resolve this matter in a mature and responsible manor. I have been
told that
if this situation persists yourself and Mike will be contacted
formally
regarding the situation. I would like to see this prevented from
being
escalated but there's a bunch of people that are not very happy and
mobile
coverage has been greatly diminished in our county due to this
situation.
Please, help remedy this problem Perry. It would be greatly
appreciated by
the rest of the folks to your south.

Sincerely,
The following amateur radio operators in Oakland County.
